CANDID PHOTO SUBMISSION Digital photos: Rather than forwarding your photos via e-mail or mail, you will be uploading photos directly into our yearbook Webease program. Please follow these instructions provided.  (If you have not received instructions and password, contact Yearbook@CHESF.org Please Note:       1 - Do NOT crop your photo before uploading.  We will crop, if necessary in the Webease program.      2 - You do not have to label the photo until it is in your family folder.  But once it is uploaded into your family folder, you can put a longer description (i.e. name and activity.) We are looking for pictures of your vacations, educational activities, Co-op, 4-H, CHESF events, sports and a group family photo. The yearbook staff desires to be good stewards of our time.  This year after each CHESF event, we are asking each member to please upload pictures taken at the event into their family folder.   We will have a deadline for photo submissions for the activity.  We will contact members thru CHESFchatter with updates and timelines for submission of photos. CANDID PHOTO GUIDELINES To ensure the best photocopy image, please keep in mind these tips when taking candid photos: COMPOSITION Zoom in on the subject.  Many photos are cropped by the staff and then reduced to fit a layout.  If the subject is too small, it is hard to identify the person.  While the subject doesn’t have to fill the frame, try to crop out excess scenery.  Balance is the key word.  If in doubt, submit it anyway.  The staff will make the call. For large groups, try to position subjects on different levels, rather than all subjects in one line. Try taking a "not totally centered" photo.  Take the picture with directed interest such as:  instead of being directly centered have the interest/subject of the photo off center and to the right, or down and diagonally to the left.  SUBMISSIONS v      Send us a mixture of group and individual shots of your child’s activities.  We love to see the students highlighted in their individual fine arts classes and performances, 4H clubs, coops, on field trips, during discover learning process, awards, with friends, schooling, and daily life.  Our families are involved in some wonderful opportunities.  Share your experiences!  v      Unique shots are appealing.  Send in the extraordinary.  We love to “connect the dots” and find commonality in photos to produce a layout. (i.e. kids in sunglasses, hats, dress up, outdoor sports and activities, field trip action shots (museums, statues, etc.),   v      Send CO-OP shots.  They make wonderful group shots with several students in one activity.  Contact the CHESF yearbook advisor about reserving a full page devoted to your coop. v      CHESF members in the photos receive first preference when making selections for the layouts.      v      We need a Family photo of each CHESF family.
