CHESF Used Curriculum Fair Guidelines

Thank you for volunteering to be the CHESF Used Curriculum Fair Chairperson.  We are looking forward to a great year and appreciate your involvement.  Here are some guidelines to help you plan this event.

bullet

Reserve location and set date for Used Curriculum Fair. If a fee will be charged for using facility, seek approval from Steering Committee.  Arrange for tables, time to open for setup, etc.

bullet

Determine cost to participate; consider portion of table proceeds to go to facility provider.

bullet

Publicize your event.  Write up a news announcement and submit to Communications Coordinator.  Include:  Event name, date, time, location and directions, cost, RSVP date, if need to bring table, and contact name, e-mail and phone number along with any other details. Send announcement to local homeschool support groups and coops as well.

bullet

Keep Steering Committee updated as to your progress and respond to all member inquiries in a timely manner.

bullet

Enlist volunteers as needed.

bullet

Collect any fees charged and keep list of expenses; submit to Treasurer for reimbursement.

bullet

Plan to arrive early for setup and be responsible for cleanup after event.

bullet

Send thank you notes/e-mails after event to facility provider as appropriate.

bullet

Provide news article for CHESF monthly newsletter with details of event.

Thank you again for volunteering.  Please feel free to contact the CHESF Secretary if you have any further questions.
