                                          -    Secretary            -    open

Prayerfully consider where you will serve your fellow CHESF members for 2009-2010.

Elections for Vice President and Secretary will be held via email.

Watch CHESFchatter emails for details.

In order to effectively plan for our next school year, we need our CHESF leaders in place by June.  We start with electing our President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Then we fill the six coordinator positions: Membership, Educational Fairs, Fellowship, Communication, Commencement, and Field Trips & Activities. By June we would like to have commitments for Yearbook Advisors, Newsletter Editor, Field Trip Chairpersons, Webmaster, and chairpersons for Community Service, Phone, Moms Night Out and Used Curriculum Fair. In the fall, members are selected for our various committees.

Most of the Steering Committee planning is handled through email communications.  The 10-person Steering Committee meets as a body at least twice in July to determine our monthly events for the school year and detailed plans for fall meetings, field trips and activities.  Once the school year is underway, the Steering Committee meets twice again in person usually in December and March.

In order for CHESF to provide support to our members, it requires the commitment of many volunteers. If each of our members contributes in some way, the work is light.  Please do not expect a few to provide the needs of many. All homeschooling families have full schedules, but we also have individual, God-given talents that we can contribute to the membership at large.  Please find your area of service.

You can find a list of CHESF leadership at http://www.chesf.org/organization.htm  and may review various Committee Descriptions for details.  For more information, please email volunteer@CHESF.org or call

Carol Benson at 694-1924 or bensonc1@comcast.net
