"Hidden Foundations for Home Schooling Success".

During this presentation we will explore eight "hidden foundations" that are vitally important for every home schooling family.  Understanding, implementing, and building these foundations will determine your fulfillment and ultimate success in home education.

Gerry and Cynthia Peterson have been home schooling since "day one" and have been involved with CHESF for almost 20 years.  They have eleven children ranging in age from 2 years to 23 years old.  Their three oldest children have graduated from high school and are enjoying lives of service and ministry.  One son is currently a senior at the University of Florida.  They are excited to share with you some of the things that they have discovered on their home school journey.

"How to Homeschool for Almost Free

Seems like everyone is trying to save money these days, and homeschool families are no different! What are the six legal responsibilities of homeschooling in Florida?  What is a Nontraditional Private School?  This workshop will include lots of practical advice for beginning your journey and offer time for Q and A.

Marcy Schaller and her husband, Mark, homeschooled their two children for over 13 years.  One graduated from UCF and is a computer systems analyst, and the other is in middle management at a local Publix.  Although her homeschooling years have come to an end, Marcy remains active with Heart and Home Homeschoolers.

"How to Plan Your School Day"

I’ve decided to homeschool, how do I prepare for the school year? What things do I plan for my school day? How do I fit in academics with sports, music, home responsibilities, dual enrollment or co-ops? How do I teach multiple age groups? What do I do with my preschoolers? Is there time for me after teaching the children? If you have asked any of these questions, then this workshop is for you.  Come to learn practical tips on how one homeschool Mom plans her year, sets monthly goals and what a typical school day looks like.

Beth Blikstad and her husband Jonathan have been homeschooling for over 16 years and are the parents of 12 children. She has 7 in school presently, with three graduates, and two preschoolers.
